Illness From Food – enormous Costs

Food-borne illnesses cost the United States an estimated 2 billion every year in health-related charges, a good deal more than formerly thought, a recent report contends.

This is according to Pew Charitable Trust's Food Safety Director Sandra Eskin.

These health-related costs incorporate physician services, hospital services, medicines and also quality-of-life losses, such as death, pain, suffering and disability.
